Free e-Learning Platform Odijoo is now SCORM-Compliant

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

We’re excited to officially announce that we’ve finished integrating SCORM into Odijoo – Odijoo is now 100% SCORM-Compliant!

SCORM is a global standard for packaging eLearning content. It gives users the ability to create online courses in a course authoring tool like ArticulateLectoraAdobe PresenterClick2Learn/Toolbook and more and then export the course into any Learning Management System, including Odijoo.

The purpose of SCORM is to save you time. If you already have SCORM-Compliant Online Learning content that you’ve developed, you will now be able to import it into Odijoo with a click of a button. You’ll still be able to use the built-in authoring tool and import PowerPoint features in Odijoo, but for those who already have prepared content, SCORM provides an easier solution.

SCORM’s integration with Odijoo will make Odijoo the first-ever SaaS-based, SCORM-Compliant eLearning platform to give users course authoring, publishing and monetization capabilities from their own unique URL, called an Odijoo Campus.

Importing your SCORM Course into Odijoo is as simple as can be:

  1. Have you SCORM Compliant course created and saved on your hard drive. Make sure it’s under 20MB in size.
  2. Navigate to Content>Create Content and choose “Import SCORM”
  3. Enter a name and description for your course and upload the file
  4. You’re done! You can now publish the course into an Odijoo classroom, along with other elements and begin administering it for free to students. You can also syndicate or sell the course.
