The authoring tool is a built-in application in Odijoo, which allows users to rapidly create interactive, dynamic and fully-hosted online courses. It can be accessed in the Author Course menu. There are five simple steps required to create an Odijoo course using the Authoring tool:
Step 1: Describe
Course – a course name and description is inputted. A course name
is mandatory and is what distinguishes one course from others in Odijoo. A course
description is not required, but recommended to give users an overview of what
the course is all about.
Step 2: Choose
Template – Odijoo has 28 design templates (and growing) to choose from. Choosing a course templates is a required step.
Step 3: Create
Outline – The course outline is the product of your instructional
design. This is defined broadly as an instructional discipline which asks you to determine the needs of your learner, defining the end goal of your instruction, create materials (text - multi-media) to support your goals and measure results.

This step gives users a chance to plan out their course and divide it into
modules, lessons and topics.
Step 4: Manage
Content – After an outline is created, it can be filled with course
content. The authoring tool allows users to:
Step 5: Finalize
Course – Once a course has been created, it can be
accessed or modified at any time in Authored
Courses, located in the Author Course menu. Once a user is satisfied with a course, it can be published into a classroom and delivered to students for free or for an enrollment price.
Alternatively, the course can be sold to Odijoo users as a syndicated course,
where users can purchase the course, turn it into their own classroom and
teach it to their own students.
